Masie had money so she bought an Apes magazine which she can not put down, she was so funny. She was being really grown up today, we walked around to the park and me and her sat on the bench chatting while the little ones played, it was really lovely.

A Chilled Out Morning at the Zoo
Today I decided instead of lunch in the house and relaxing time I would treat the kids to a picnic at the zoo. Don't be fooled by the hats and gloves, they were just excited to have new things. It was not hat a scarf weather but, whatever:)

Mason is just a little love bunny, I couldn't imagine my days without him. He has been apart of our everyday now for over two years and we love him to bits.

Wow - that looks like a fantastic way to spend the day! :-) And you're right I would probably be in shorts. Maybe even my swimmer suit. I was going to ask you how cold it gets in England - I imagined their climate to be like Oregon - wet and cold but not like Montana super snowy and freakin' freezing. We are currently having a blizzard. School was not canceled today but I hope it is tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteEngland weather is not as cold as MT but in a way its worse. Snow is pretty and fun, we just get ice and slush. Winters are long and hard there. Does Nate and Javien not have this week off then??
ReplyDeleteKerry! come on winters are not long & hard in England! yeah it gets pretty cold & theres the heavy wet slushy snow for about a week or 2, growing up there ya think its hard but when ya got something else to compare it with like I dunno say a Wyoming winter 6months of snow ridiculously deep, freezing winds, n blizzards, avalanches, etc etc winter in England is a breeze!
ReplyDeletewe're curently undergoing freezing fast winds & blizzards at the moment, but noooooo the schools havent closed! everything carry's on as normal.
You are crazy!! Winters were long and hard for me, I HATED them, I would get so depressed. The wet, dull, fog and cold was horrible. But I live in New Mexico now so winters here and winters there, England is 100% worse.
ReplyDeleteI would never survuve in Wyoming, seriously:)
If it snows here half an inch they close down schools and everything, its way over the top.
I would agree that the ice and slush would be way worse. But if it only lasted a few months it would not be so bad. Here it is dark and snowy for 6-7 months which is very depressing but the snow is nice. I figure if it will be cold then it may as well snow. Yes Javien and Nate have school this week well kind of today is their Friday! :-) They don't cancel school around here unless it is emergency travel only - and even then it's a 50/50 chance we will still have school!
ReplyDeleteWyoming is just god awful. Seriously. It is horrendous. The wind blows a million miles per hour and it's just ugly. :-) Sorry. It's true. Some people love it. I think. Actually I am not too sure about that.
Oh and snow is only pretty and fun for the first day after that it turns to really hard ice banks and gets muddy and gross. :-) I don't want you to have any delusional ideas about our snowy wonderland! But sledding is fun and hot cocoa is fun and palm tree's on tropical beaches with pina coladas are nice. Oh wait. I got sidetracked.
ReplyDelete90% of Wyoming is ugly, but I'm 'lucky' I live in the pretty part, I'm on the western side of Wy, near the WY/ID border, 2hrs south of Yellowstone Nat'l Park, the Rockies are my back yard. Star Valley is beautiful, mountains, lakes, trees, & right now a stupid amount of wind & snow!. :/
ReplyDeleteWell I can safely say that im glad to be in New mexico. I do like snow but for the first day only, get some great pictures and play around and then im done. I couldnt cope with the high winds on top of snow that just sounds painful. Sharri you do live around beauty, I thought the whole of Wyoming was like that just from your pictures.
ReplyDeleteYou both need to move here and have a proper winter, you know, light jackets and cold lemonade, lol. I *Almost* had to put the heat on in the car the other morning!!!! Now thats crazy.
lol, I've had the heat on in the car since early october!, turned heating on in house about same time & this last week I've actually been lightin a fire everyday :( it does get a bit monotomous but I gotta admit I really do love the snow over crimbo & new yr holidays it like a picture postcard crimbo loadsa snow outside & we're all cozy warm inside opening pressies by warmth of a nice open fire, charlie (Tina) said we should go to Australia in the winter (our winter, her summer)& spend crimbo on the beach lol.
ReplyDeletewe like the snow but like I said when ya get it for 6months of the yr it gets old real quick lol.
no Kerry not all Wy is pretty were I am in the west its beautiful, but as soon as you start heading east away from the mountains its all ugly flat prairies.
ReplyDeleteYou are right the West is beautiful looks exactly like Kalispell Kerry. It's gorgeous there. I must live directly North of you Sharri! Basically the rest is ugly. I was actually born in Wyoming - LOL - shhh! Don't tell anyone. I would still take a tropical drink on a beach full of palm tree's over mountains, lakes, and snow any day!
ReplyDeleteKristi, stop talking about beaches, ya making me home sick lol, where I grew up in England I was a 30 minute drive from the ocean, & I really miss it, I love the mountains I really do its gorgeous here but there has to be something said for the ocean, if the Palisades Lake (which is roughly 10 mile down the road from me) was an ocean,I'd be the happiest person alive got my mountains & ocean together lol. what more could I ask for... oh yeah a little less snow would be a great start & to not have it for 6 mnths of the yr maybe just 3 months.....
ReplyDeleteYou dont want much do you, lol. You both need to stop talking about beaches, I need a holiday now!!
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is BRRRRRR!! My girls were wearing hats and coats at the zoo and it was almost 70 degrees, they have no clue what cold is anymore. Our version of a warm coat is a hoody, lol.
