Very Good at Being Two

Well little Miss Hailey Paige is certainly good at being two, I feel like I need to write a few things down just so I can remember. First I hope this is all a faze and she grows out of it soon, because boy are we exhausted. First she still has her Shhhhhh Hailey's sleeping thing going on and will fall asleep whenever she doesn't want to listen to you or feels overwhelmed, hopefully she grows out of this before school.

Talking of school please hope that you do NOT see this post "Another one Bites the Dust" I have already run the blog post in my head and I so hope that I don't have to use it, please Hailey prove me wrong. I have a feeling that she is going to be kicked out of her second preschool before her 3rd birthday. She got an incident form the last time she was at school because she cried throughout the day and wouldn't calm down. When I went to take Taylor to school on Wednesday (Hailey only goes Monday's) she flipped out in the car park, and I mean screaming, kicking the chair, doing a star fish with her body so I couldn't get her out and shouting " I don't yike school, I don't yike school". I tried explaining that she wasn't going that day but she wouldn't calm down, she has never done that before, she hasn't even cried when I have left. Her teacher looked shocked as we walked in and saw the state she was in, she came up to us and said Hi to Hailey, Hailey welcomed her with an attempted smack and a "I don't yike school" scream. I'm trying to see if bribery will work on Monday, not sure if she really understands that but we will see, wish us luck!!

If you ask her to do something she 99% of the time answers with a NO In true toddler style and runs away. But her new trait is to lie, can two year olds lie, really? We thought it was cute and funny at first but we discourage it now and she gets time outs. Here is an example of a conversation with her lying:

Hailey- (running around with no trousers or knickers on)

Me- Hailey! Where are your clothes?

Hailey- They are wet

Me- Why are they wet

Hailey- (smile) ummm

Me- Did you pee pee your trousers?

Hailey - No Tator pee peed Hailey's trousers!!

Me- Taylor peed your trousers?

Hailey- Yeah Tator did.

Or another: (trust me there are hundreds, it happens many times a day)

Hailey - (In the car and her drink got knocked over) Oh No

Me- What happened Hailey?

Hailey- Daddy Did

Me- Daddy did what?

Hailey- My drink

Me- Daddy knocked your drink over?

Hailey- Yeah Daddy did!

On the plus side she is very good at being cute too, and loves her family very much. She is always telling us she loves us and still runs to Daddy when he comes in from work and greets him with a huge hug and kiss. She is crazy about Dora and Diego and imitates all the characters throughout the day, her best impression is Swiper the Fox. She gets all excited when baby Jaguar comes on and can name almost all the characters. Well I thought I would have more to say about the plus side but what can I say, its Hailey and I love her to bits just as she is. I tell you, life is not boring when you live with Hailey.
