Now Thats Cool

The girls and I were playing around with some of the experiments we found on the Internet. This one was really quick, very cheap and so much fun, It was amazing to watch the different stages I heard so many wows during this experiment. First we got a baking tray and they each took a turn to fill the bottom with milk (full fat, the others will not work well).
Then they each chose some food coloring and put several drops around the milk.
Looks cool huh!
The above picture is what got the most Wows! We dropped 2 drops of liquid dish soap onto the milk and immediately the colors started swirling and making gorgeous patterns.
Just for a little extra fun Chris gave them a straw and they gently blew the colors around the tray.

  1. kerry, if you do that with water and oil pants they can then lay plain white paper on it and when they take the paper off you gor a marble effect on the paper they can then use (once it dry) to draw on or cut out pictures , patterns etc etc.........
